Description
Ford AV is seeking a mission-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist (Military Focus) to identify, engage, and recruit top military veterans and transitioning service members into impactful roles across our organization. In this recruiting position, you’ll lead the charge in building strategic military talent pipelines and supporting our commitment to hiring veterans who bring leadership, discipline, and teamwork to every mission.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the recruitment process focused on civilian, veteran, and military hiring needs, including headhunting, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with military transition centers, bases, veteran service organizations (VSOs), and SkillBridge programs.
- Attend and represent Ford AV at career fairs - civilian, veteran, and military transition events.
- Develop and execute veteran-specific sourcing strategies to connect with top military candidates.
- Guide hiring managers on translating military skills into civilian job matches.
- Maintain candidate pipelines, manage multiple open roles, and track veteran hiring metrics using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Champion Ford AV’s commitment to veteran hiring through branding, storytelling, and networking efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal), especially in communicating with military populations.
- Familiarity with military ranks, MOS codes, and transition processes strongly preferred.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with military, government, and veteran communities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple hiring needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in presenting to groups and individuals, both virtually and in-person.
- Experience in recruiting, human resources, or veteran hiring programs (SkillBridge, DoD TAP, etc.) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field (preferred).

Physical Requirements The physical requirements of this role play a pivotal role in ensuring job performance and success. The employee will be engaged in extended periods of sitting while operating a wide range of office equipment. While the work primarily involves sedentary tasks, there may be occasions that call for standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. It is essential for employees to possess proficiency in utilizing standard office tools like computers, printers, and telephones. Furthermore, adequate manual dexterity and eyesight are necessary to effectively handle tasks involving reading, writing, interpreting, and managing paperwork with precision and efficiency.
In a typical office setting, the employee will communicate and engage with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental conditions. Although the role mainly takes place indoors, there might be occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold and environmental elements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
