What are the responsibilities and job description for the OE Program Manager position at FORD COMPONENT SALES?
Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.
We are in search of a OE Program Manager that acts in a leadership capacity to ensure that all aspects of the program management launch process meet internal and external customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead a cross functional team to bring product design to production
- Report program status to the executive team, including timing, quality, cost and deliverable status
- Develop effective deliverables to monitor team’s launch status and performance
- Provide project leadership and drive all aspects of program launch
- Serve as key customer contact for engineering, supply, and quality teams
- Ensure customer deliverables and program timing are met
- Establish and maintain an open issues list and timeline
- Establish and maintain program files and retain in an orderly manner
- Minimize project risk and inform management appropriately
- Facilitates lessons-learned session at the conclusion of the launch as part of continuous improvement
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Knowledgeable in managing automotive powertrain programs, including engineering, project budgeting and finance, commercial agreements, purchasing, supply, and IT project development
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint required
- Able to lead a cross-functional team to project timelines and meet customer and internal deliverables
- Knowledge and experience with Ford engineering and product development for OE programs
- Ability to prepare program presentations and present information clearly to customers
- Coordination and planning skills (Project Management)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required
Minimum Bachelor's degree (BS) in math, science, or engineering and 5 years of related experience.
