What you’ll be able to do:
The Field Service Manager is a field-based position representing Ford Motor Company and its many departments to dealerships, assembly plants, ports, railroad ramps, distribution centers, body shops, lessee’s and their dependents.
American Road Services Company, the insurance claims component of Ford Motor Credit Company, is seeking to fill an Auto Physical Damage Insurance Adjuster/Estimator (Field Service Manager) position in the Baton Rouge, LA area.
Interested candidates must be willing to travel overnight as required and travel can be as much as 50 nights out of the year. Normal travel within the territory, moderate travel outside of the region to respond to catastrophe losses across the country can be longer during severe weather periods and can last for several weeks at a time. Long term, the company is looking for candidates that have the ability to move up through the organization (in field and/or central office management or staff positions). Career development opportunities may require relocation. The position includes a company car and a complete package of benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two or more years of claims adjusting and estimating experience
- At least one year of Computerized estimating systems experience (such as Mitchell or CCC) with knowledge of vehicle repair processes and procedures
- At least one year of experience with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Technical/mechanical background (passion for mechanical restoration/repair)
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and procedures
- Ability to independently plan, organize, re-organize, prioritize and problem-solve
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and procedures
- One or more state insurance adjuster and/or appraiser licenses, New York preferred
- Excellent dealer/customer service skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- 3 years of claims adjusting and estimating experience.
- CAT loss adjusting experience
- Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in Ford Truth (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Manage complex insurance claims in a key-pointed area, work independently, schedule appointments and travel throughout key-point
- Coverage investigations
- Preparing estimates of damage to establish cost of repairs
- Subrogation investigations, salvage disposal, and fraud investigations
- Loss prevention reviews and dealer training activities
- Remain on-call for CAT/Storm losses and be prepared for extensive travel away from home for extended periods of time. Interested candidates must be willing to travel overnight as required and travel can be as much as 50% particularly during CAT season.
Salary : $73,000 - $92,500
