What you’ll be able to do:
Process Coaches are the drivers of standardization and continuous improvement in the Ford Production System. They are coaches that lead and teach their teams how to administer FPS.
  • Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
  • Monitor Andon occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
  • Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts
  • Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization
  • Provide the team with guidance and recognition
  • Build Team Leader and Team Member capabilities
  • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
  • Handle the basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and corresponding documents
  • Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
  • Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
  • Support concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, production, and suppliers
  • Work in a rotating shift environment that may include weekends and overtime

The minimum requirements we seek:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Our preferred requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Successful leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Production, Safety and Quality experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with constraint management principles
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force
