Job Summary: The Motorsports Race Team Manager will be fully responsible for all aspects of the FPRS Motorsports race programs.
Specific Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end team / event project planning, staffing, travel, communications, industry best practices, task lists, managing personnel, event timelines, budgets, inventory, etc. for race events and testing.
- Manage shop end-to-end including task lists, event timelines, cleanliness, organization, equipment maintence.
- All equipment, vehicles, trailers, and shop must be continually organized, accounted for and prepared for customer visits / presentation at all times.
- Coordinate and provide guidance with technicians for event planning and coordination, set-downs, maintenance, inventories, repair, set-ups, creation and adherence to checklists, trailer organization and loading, and paddock set-up for all race events.
- Coordinate customer communications and presentations
- Coordinate with the Motorsport General Manager on current programs and future programs/projects.
- Building and office management – maintain supply inventories (shop, offices, and trailers) and be the single point of contact for building maintenance.
- Ensures that the highest level of safety standards is continually and without exception followed by all team members in all environments.
- Protect the moral, legal, and financial well-being of The Ford Performance Racing School
- Other job duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skills
- 5 years of motorsports experience including race team management and logistics
- Project management skills to plan, track and report various activities
- Management experience required
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Outstanding ability to interact well with partners, customer, vendors and fellow employees
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate manner
- Must be able to make quick, sound decisions based on facts
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to utilize creative thinking in all situations
Supervision Received and Exercised
- Reports to the FPRS Motorsports General Manager

Physical Demands
- Often required to work long hours and be available when needed or as business requires (including holidays, nights, and weekends)
