Ford’s Fish Shack is a company of three neighborhood restaurants with an outstanding seafood selection served by a friendly staff. This is an exciting time to join the Ford’s Fish Shack team, as the company looks ahead to future expansion. Due to our growth, Ford’s Fish Shack is seeking Hosts who have a passion for providing the best in service. Our ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and focused on creating outstanding guest experiences through our food and service. Hard working and cheerful people are key to our continued success and growth.
Host positions are currently available at both of our locations: Ashburn and Lansdowne.
Positions will be opening soon for our newest location in Chantilly.
Host Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they enter the establishment.
- Present menus, make recommendations, provide the daily specials, and take orders if needed.
- Answer the phone in a timely manner, using the correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Take to-go orders and enter into the POS system for preparation.
- Receive and record dining reservations.
- Ensure the proper setup of dining and service areas.
- Assist with bussing, cleaning, and re-setting tables to prepare for upcoming reservations.
- Ensure special requests are passed to managers and/or service staff.
- Thank guests upon departure with genuine pleasure.
- Maintain clean, polished, and organized dining tables and work area.
- Sweep and mop work area.
- Wipe clean all menus and check books daily.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
