Director of Operations needed for the Bergen County Region. This position reports directly to the Senior Managing Director. This is a forty-hour per week position. The Director of Operations is responsible for the supervision of 40 employees to include the Asst Director of Operations, Program Supervisor, Program Assistant Supervisor, Direct Care Professionals, and the activities of 8 residential programs serving adults with intellectual disabilities.
The Director of Operation will be expected to travel to 8 Residential Programs to perform the full scope of the position.
Must be able to work with and assist the Senior Managing Directors, Executive Director, and the Assistant Executive Director with directing the company in keeping with the vision outlined by Fordham-Lewis, Consulting, LLC. Must be able to oversee quality control throughout the company, establishing goals for each residential program in partnership with Asst Director of Operation and Program Supervisors. Must be able to create strategic organization mapping to ensure the sustainability of the company. Bring to work your empathy, compassion, good judgment and reliability and you will succeed.
The primary responsibility for the Director of Operation is to manage and supervise the Asst Director of Operations, Program Supervisor, Program Assistant Supervisor and Direct Care Professionals working shift rotation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in a for-profit setting providing full life services to stakeholders. This position has decision making authority, and participates in formulating policy and procedures, as well as making recommendations to the Senior Managing Directors, Executive Director, and the Assistant Executive Director.
Three years of progressive management experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, at least one of which shall be at a senior staff level is required. Must demonstrate knowledge in the areas of design, supervision of program, development of staff. Must demonstrate key knowledge of DDD circulars, regulations and licensing standards.
