Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Appliance Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at Fort Bliss, Texas. In this role, you will lead a team of appliance mechanics, ensuring efficient and high-quality repair and maintenance services for a wide range of household appliances.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of appliance mechanics
- Assign work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and complexity
- Conduct quality checks on completed repairs to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex repair issues
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Train and mentor new team members on repair techniques and customer service
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall service delivery
- Handle customer escalations and resolve complex service issues
- Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques
- Prepare and submit regular performance reports to management
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an appliance mechanic, with previous supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in appliance repair or related field preferred
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NASTeC, PSA) are a plus
- Extensive knowledge of various household appliances and their repair procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- In-depth understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems related to appliances
- Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and regulations
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the appliance repair industry
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Fort Bliss and surrounding areas
- Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management and report generation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

- Work is performed at a customer’s location in office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. May require driving to and from worksite locations. Equipment can be located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to hazardous and/or toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
