Forefront’s Government Division is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in payroll processing, particularly in the context of government contracting, and a comprehensive understanding of benefits administration. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of compliance requirements, and a proactive approach to ensuring accurate and efficient payroll operations.
Preferred candidate will possess Service Contract Act (SCA) and / or Davis Bacon Act experience
Government Contracting experience is necessary to be successful in this Payroll Manager role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Payroll Processing :
Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to government contracting standards.
Ensure payroll processes align with the specific requirements of government contracts, including adherence to the Davis-Bacon Act, Service Contract Act (SCA), Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), or other applicable labor laws.
Oversee the enrollment, tracking, and management of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-offered programs.
Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports, including tax filings, W-2s, and other documentation.
Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and benefits processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Respond promptly and professionally to payroll and benefits-related inquiries from employees.
Coordinate the preparation of weekly government billing based on payroll data, ensuring all labor hours and associated costs are accurately allocated and reported.
