JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Analyst, FP&A (Business Partner) will primarily serve as the FP&A Business Partner between Corporate Finance, Development, Sales, and Project Finance to drive operational improvements, forecast project cash flows and better understand project pipeline and timelines. This position will also support the Senior Director, FP&A and the Deputy CFO in developing consolidated corporate P&L and cash forecasts. This position will also support periodic management reporting of company KPIs and their variance to the companys annual business plan/budget.
JOB LOCATION AND REPORTING TO
This position will be based in our San Francisco office, or for the right candidate, can be remote (Pacific time zone preferred). The Senior Analyst, FP&A (Business Partner) will report to the Senior Director, FP&A, and will work closely with the teams across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage regular interactions with Sales and Development teams to monitor the progression of each portfolio of projects and identify and drive operational improvements
- Monitor and analyze daily cash position to cover cash commitments
- Assist Senior Director, FP&A and Deputy CFO in development of business plan / financial forecast (annual and long term) focused on the project pipeline and development timeline
- Work with Development team to understand project timelines and costs to support improved cash flow management
- Collaborate with Project Finance team on project status and implications for P&L and cash flow related to project financing agreements
- Oversee auditing of EPC compliance with Inflation Reduction Act requirements for prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, including auditing documentation of EPC compliance to support ITC basis
- Assist the Senior Director, FP&A with the issuance of standby letters of credit/bonds as needed and monitor their status
- Identify opportunities to help streamline the operations and processes of the Corporate Finance team
- Support the preparation of presentations for management, Board of Managers and parent companies
- Perform other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 - 5 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting and/or at an EPC
- Basic understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
- Highly proficient with MS Office suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (Sage Intacct)
- Experience working with large databases and ensuring data integrity
- Significant experience in preparation or administration of sophisticated Excel models
- Experience with and general understanding of contracts/contract language
- Desire to work in an early-stage and growing company in the renewable energy field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong competencies in FP&A analysis, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and desire to understand the big picture
- Keen multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility, and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to work under strict deadlines
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to professionally handle highly confidential and sensitive information
- Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure including tax equity structuring and knowledge of project finance is a plus
- Experience in auditing EPC payroll certifications for Federal Bacon-Davis, IRA PWA, or similar program is a strong plus
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field- MBA designation is a strong plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily sedentary in nature and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk in front of a computer. If remote, will require some travel to San Francisco office. Long hours will be needed from time to time as dictated by reporting and other deadlines.
