- Full time Company website Apply for Director of Business Development We are seeking a Director of Business Development, with a background in the power industry : demand response, or retail electric providers, to lead business development efforts to drive growth and expansion.Description The Director of Business Development (DBD) is responsible for leading OBM’s business development efforts to drive growth and expansion. They do this by identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and increasing revenue. They play a key role in helping the business achieve its goals by : Responsibilities : Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goalsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and revenue streams, including, but not limited to, partnerships with energy companies (suppliers, demand response aggregators, and regulated entities), deployers of AI / HPC GPU compute, and cryptocurrency machine manufacturers and firmware companiesBuild and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholdersLead and mentor a team of business development professionalsDefine specific objectives for the team and establish measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress.Create clear workflows, define roles and responsibilities, and implement systems for managing and tracking activities.Foster a positive team culture.Recruit talented individuals and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills.Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscapeCollaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align efforts, drive growth and close dealsPrepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentationsProvide regular reports and forecasts to senior management on business development activities and performanceQualifications : Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred7 years of experience in business development, sales, or related rolesBackground in the power industry : demand response, or retail electric providerProven track record of driving revenue growth and closing strategic dealsStrong leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of our industry and market trendsCompensation and Benefits : Competitive salary commensurate with experience and locationOpportunity for discretionary annual cash bonus#J-18808-Ljbffr
