Description
Ability to run quality parts through secondary department by loading and unloading parts from secondary machinery and completing other duties include assembly, broaching, and deburring as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to operate machinery in secondary department including Hurcos, Sunnen & lapping machines
- Ability to ensure parts are properly machined (lapped, honed, milled, and drilled) in the secondary department
- Ability to assemble parts as needed
- Verify part quantity with the job traveler
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
- Study and determine the part tolerances and methods of measurement for each job
- Record inspection data as required and inspect parts as often as needed to determine the parts are within tolerances
- Communication with supervisor and co-worker as needed to relay progress of job
- Both written and verbal communication are required here using the Material Review Form, Part Count Form, 1st Article completion as needed, and job traveler notes as needed
- Ensure parts are taken to next operation (indicated on job traveler)
- Deburr parts when necessary
- Ability to run more than one machine maintaining run times as required
Non-Essential Job Functions:

- Work on miscellaneous projects as needed
