What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elder Activities Aide position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily progress report staff or volunteers assisting with outings/events.
- Collaborate with the Elder Services Coordinator on activities/events that include community members.
- Assist on the plan and a budget on all activities and outings/events costs are meeting the planned budget.
- Assist in keeping all Elders informed of all available activities by preparing and distributing a schedule.
- Maintains and/or reviews records, reports and correspondence related to activities.
- Must be able to work odd hours, weekends, and the occasional overnight out of town.
- Receive training to transfer clients
- Dependable and motivated support staff
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- in a related field and interaction with elderly preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in activities programs geared toward the elderly.
- N.A. certification or experience preferred.
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
