What are the responsibilities and job description for the FCP Tribal Talent Program Coordinator position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
What you’ll be doing:
- Enhancing opportunities for FCP Tribal Member employment
- Screen candidates, manage the interview process, make offers of employment, and process onboarding and orientation.
- Manage the on-going nature of the program, monitoring participants for progress and training needs while setting up additional opportunities for advancement and growth in areas relating to employment.
- Develop, arrange, and provide for learning segments to augment on-the-job training.
- Hold one on one meetings with program participants, act as a career coach to help and guide tribal members for future success
- Attend job fairs, community events and General Council meetings to attract talent to the organization.
- Support the participants in career development, employee relations, policy interpretation and support for challenging situations.
- Counsel participants to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.
- Evaluate participant abilities, interests, and personality characteristics, using tests, records, interviews, or professional sources.
- Prepare reports on participants and activities as required by HR Director
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma -and- two years of relevant experience in a professional setting
- Punctual with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Experience running a similar program preferred
- Previous experience with employee relations
- Previous experience in conducting investigations
- Classroom training experience strongly desired
- Previous experience in Human Resources
- Enrolled member of the Forest County Potawatomi Community
