What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Court Coordinator position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Coordinates Wellness Court program activities and serves as a liaison and communication link between all agencies including the Wellness Court Team, courts, treatment providers, law enforcement, probation and parole, and others as applicable;
- Assists the Wellness Court Team in data collection and in establishing consistent measures for the development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of date and the Wellness Court program and its outcomes;
- Ensures compliance with established laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and work standards
- Manages service contracts, as well as federal and/or state grant agreements; approves and monitors budget expenditures; prepares budget revisions; provides interim status reports on all accounts;
- Ensures provision of ongoing support and training related to the Wellness Court for Wellness Court Team members and providers;
- Supports service providers in developing strategies to enhance existing programs, to increase resources, and to establish new resources relevant to project goals and objectives; and
- Evaluates and screens Wellness Court candidates
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- One year of experience in social work, criminal justice, or related field.
- Experience with the treatment of alcohol and other drug addiction and abuse.
- Experience with project and grant management.
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint)
- Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people
- Ability to prepare accurate, complete and legible reports and present detailed, accurate, and objective oral presentations
- Ability to comply with HIPAA, confidentiality laws and national best practices for treatment courts
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years’ of experience in social work, criminal justice, or related field.
