What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertilizer Applicator position at Forest Green Lawn and Landscaping?
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to lawns according to company protocols and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain application equipment, including spreaders, sprayers, and other specialized equipment.
- Mix and handle chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and product labels.
- Identify lawn issues such as lawn deficiencies, pest infestations, and weed growth, and recommend appropriate treatment.
- Educate clients on proper lawncare practices and the benefits of treatment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of chemicals.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pesticide applicator's license is not a requirement, but you will be expected to pass the test and get it. (study material provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in applying treatments
- Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking for an extended period of time
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulatory requirements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
