Position Details

Job Title: Chemical/Fertilizer Specialist.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (Monday-Friday).

Hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities.

Compensation: $20-$27 per hour Commission opportunities.

Pay Based On: Results, performance, and expertise.

What You'll Do

As a Chemical/Fertilizer Specialist, you play a key role in keeping our clients’ lawns healthy, green, and thriving. Your responsibilities include:

• Applying fertilizers and weed control treatments according to schedule and product guidelines.
• Identifying turf issues such as pests, diseases, and soil conditions, and recommending solutions.
• Engaging with customers, answering questions, and offering expert lawn care advice.
• Managing daily operations, including loading trucks, tracking supplies, and maintaining schedules.
• Documenting application details (time, temperature, wind speed) via a mobile app or paper logs.

What We're Looking For

We need reliable, detail-oriented team players who are passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License (clean driving record – no DUI/major violations in the past 5 years).
• Nebraska Department of Agriculture Ornamental & Turf Pesticide License (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
• Hands-on knowledge of lawn installation, maintenance, and disease prevention.
• Strong customer service skills – you’ll be a friendly, knowledgeable face for our clients.
• Ability to work outdoors all day, including bending, stooping, and lifting as needed.
• Experience operating lawn care equipment such as spreaders, sprayers, and leaf blowers.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
