- All SSA staff PD: June 20th, 2025 (7 hour Staff Development)
- Student start Date: June 23, 2025
- Dates of Summer School: June 23, 2025 - July 17, 2025 (Monday-Thursday)
- Final Staff Work Day: July 18, 2025 (4 hours)
- Daily Schedule: 7:45-3:30 - 7.25 hours per day for PK-Grade 1 IAs; 8:15-3:15 - 6.5 hours per day for Grade 2-6 IAs
- Number of positions available: 10
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Summer Skills Academy Instructional Assistant Grades PK- 6 (Temporary)
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Present Instruction to Migrants and ELL students under the direction of a licensed teacher;
- Assist with clerical duties when assigned;
- Assist with supervisory duties during bus arrival and departure, Break, Lunch and as directed by administration and licensed teachers;
- Develop age-appropriate activities for students;
- Call parents regarding attendance issues;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Effective communication skills with students, parents and staff
- Ability to work as part of a team
- First aid card or the ability to obtain

Applicants must be “highly qualified” as per federal guidelines prior to being hired. To be “highly qualified”, an applicant must meet one of the following criteria:
- An Associate's Degree (or higher)
- Two years of postsecondary study from an institution of higher learning (48 semester or 72 quarter hours)
- Have a Work Keys Certificate
