Summer Skills Academy Teachers - Grades PK-6 (Temporary)
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Instruct Migrant students and English Language Learners in self-contained classes;
- Development curriculum for Migrant and EL students (Literacy, Math, Content and English Language Development);
- Do pre- and post-assessments to evaluate students’ progress;
- Use data to inform instruction;
- Document skills and language proficiency growth of students;
- Work cooperatively with other staff to provide quality instruction for students;
- Effectively manage student behavior;
- Provide guidance and direction to instructional assistants;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Oregon Teachers License
- ESOL Endorsement preferred
- Systematic ELD trained required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- GLAD/SIOP Trained
- Principal’s recommendation
