What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Forest Heights Pharmacy?
Our family owned business is looking for a dependable customer focused Pharmacy Technician to work in the Pharmacy. You must be team oriented and willing to go the extra mile to care for our/your patients. You will be responsible for assisting pharmacists filling and processing orders and maintaining inventory by dispensing medication according to prescription instructions. As a pharmacy technician, you should be familiar with medical terminology and able to fill prescriptions accurately and promptly. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys caring for people while working in a fast paced environment. Ultimately, you should participate in the maintenance of pharmacy supplies by checking expiration dates to avoid out-of-date drugs. You might also be asked to work in our non-sterile compounding lab. You do not have to be certified or register to apply, but we will have to get you registered with the state before you start working as a pharmacy tech. Experience is not required but recommended and pay will be based on experience and skill set.
