What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant II - Building Cashier position at Forest Hills Local Schools?
Hourly rate $20.53-$26.66
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of High School Diploma, or equivalent.
2. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism, while meeting critical deadlines.
3. Ability to skillfully utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite programs and other web-based applications.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
5. Ability to keep employee and student matters strictly confidential.
6. Ability to provide excellent customer service through highly proficient interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Essential Functions:
1. CLERICAL
- Responsible for all correspondence from the Learning Commons
- Circulate and maintain the inventory and disposals for all Learning Commons materials, building computers and textbook resources via Destiny, or similar product
- Provide textbook inventory to the relevant authority, including department chairs, team leaders, and/or building administration, prior to the upcoming school year
- Notify parents and school officials of materials long-overdue at the end of each grading period
- Schedule maintenance and/or repair of Learning Commons equipment
- Maintain and operate the Learning Commons equipment and instruct staff and students on how to use the equipment, as needed
- Provide light maintenance for any copy machine located in or near the Learning Commons
- Implement procedures for proper shelving and storage of Learning Commons materials, equipment, computers, and textbooks
- Maintain shelves and displays in good order and keep Learning Commons clean and organized
- Evaluate print materials and provide students with age-appropriate fiction and nonfiction reading materials
- Facilitate the scheduling of staff and student use of the Learning Commons
- Generates purchase orders, including ordering and distributing materials and payment of invoices
- Completes and submits yearly inventory
- Remove outdated and/or damaged books
3.STUDENT AND STAFF SUPPORT
- Assist students and staff in locating and selecting reading materials and other resources within the Learning Commons
- Oversee student check-out of daily device and monitor computer usage in the Learning Commons
- Monitor students who are present in the Learning Commons
- Collaborate with staff to maximize the utility of Learning Commons resources for student projects and assignments
Performs other duties as assigned.
