Salary : $21.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY :
Assists with preparing guest meals within safety, quality, quantity and budgetary guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists in ensuring kitchen equipment is maintained and used according to departmental health and safety standards.
- Assists in ensuring kitchens are operating within San Bernardino County Health Department codes and guidelines.
- Assists the Banquet Chef and in requisitioning food items from the Commissary as needed.
- Actively supports and participates in spiritual life activities.
- Works in assigned areas as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate small and large kitchen utilities and appliances. Requires medium to heavy physical work; some lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
