JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Sales and Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth and advancing the mission of Forest Home through strategic sales and marketing efforts. Approximately 70% of the role will focus on outbound sales—proactively building relationships with churches to increase participation in programs and retreats. The remaining 30% will involve leading and empowering the marketing team, reservations team, and inbound sales efforts. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, mission-driven leader who will expand Forest Home’s reach, deepen guest engagement, and deliver measurable results in alignment with the organization’s vision and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales (70%)
- Proactively identify, pursue, and secure multi-year contracts with key church partners (100 group size) for both Forest Home’s Program Camps and Guest Retreats.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with new and existing church partners to ensure high retention and recurring participation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive outbound sales strategy aimed at growing participation across all program offerings.
- Drive growth in Youth Program attendance from 9,000 to 18,000 annually over the next five years through consistent outreach, pipeline management, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct 1–2 in-person visits per week with high-potential church prospects or existing partners to deepen engagement and close opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and partnership outcomes in CRM tools to track performance and inform future strategy.
- Represent Forest Home with passion, clarity, and alignment to its mission and values in all external communications and meetings.
Inbound Sales Leadership (5%)
· Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to the Guest Retreat and Family Camp inbound sales team, including setting clear goals, managing weekly pipelines, and reviewing performance metrics.
· Ensure the team delivers excellent service to incoming inquiries and effectively converts leads into booked Guest Retreats and Family Retreats through timely, mission-aligned communication.
· Equip the team with tools, training, and resources to build strong relationships with churches, schools, and Christian organizations seeking retreat experiences at Forest Home.
· Oversee the post-retreat follow-up process, ensuring guests are debriefed, thanked, and invited to rebook in a timely and intentional manner.
· Serve as a thought partner and support system to the inbound sales team, helping refine processes, remove obstacles, and improve overall team effectiveness.
· Lead the adoption, implementation, and ongoing use of a CRM system to support the Guest Retreat sales pipeline, tracking all inquiries, communications, and outcomes.
· Ensure all inbound sales efforts reflect Forest Home’s mission, values, and commitment to Gospel-centered hospitality.
Program Reservations Leadership (10%)
· Provide oversight and support to the team managing reservations for youth, children’s, and family camp programs, ensuring an efficient, guest-focused experience from inquiry to arrival.
· Set clear expectations for excellence in service, accuracy, and responsiveness in all reservation processes.
· Ensure the reservation system is effective, user-friendly, and consistently improving to support a seamless guest experience.
· Lead regular check-ins, offer coaching, and support continuous improvement in systems and guest communication.
· Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth hand-offs, accurate data, and a seamless experience for all registered guests.
· Monitor key reservation metrics and provide insights to inform program planning and capacity management.
Marketing Leadership (10%)
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Marketing Manager/Director to ensure effective execution of marketing plans that drive participation across all Forest Home programs and guest retreats.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure year-round capacity.
- Oversee the work of contract marketing professionals, ensuring consistency in branding, messaging, and campaign execution across all channels.
- Set clear goals, priorities, and KPIs for digital marketing efforts - including email campaigns, organic social media, social media ads, SEO, and website performance - while empowering the Marketing Manager/Director to lead execution.
- Review and approve major marketing materials to ensure quality, alignment with Forest Home’s mission, and brand integrity.
- Guide the Marketing Manager/Director in tracking key marketing metrics and translating insights into actionable improvements; report on performance to Executive Leadership.
Executive Team Leadership (5%)
- Must personally affirm and live in alignment with Forest Home’s Statement of Faith and demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, contributing to organization-wide strategy, decision-making, and alignment with Forest Home’s mission and goals.
- Collaborate with fellow senior leaders to drive cross-departmental initiatives, share insights, and solve challenges that impact guest experience and ministry effectiveness.
- Support the President/CEO with special projects and strategic priorities as needed, demonstrating flexibility, discretion, and a high level of trust.
- Represent the Sales and Marketing function in executive discussions, providing clear updates, analysis, and recommendations to inform direction and resource allocation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
· Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
· A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in marketing, sales, or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
· Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive measurable growth.
· Experience in managing and mentoring a sales team and working collaboratively with contractors or external agencies.

Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
