Supply Chain Analyst

Forge Resources Group is looking to expand our supply chain team to further support the needs of our customer base at our DeKalb, IL location.

The Supply Chain Analyst manages aspects of planning, purchasing and commercial activity including planning and shipping support, purchase orders, vendor engagement, reports of customer analysis, plant meetings, order entry, contract review, and other related requirements.

The training for this role includes an extensive overview of planning, order entry and purchasing tasks. Development from this role can be as follows: Production Planning Lead, Supply Chain Lead, Commercial Analyst, or Process Improvement Related Fields. All responsibilities support the key performance indicators set for company success.

This individual will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

• ERP assessment and tasks – creating purchase orders, entering orders, review and provide customer trend data
• Ordering of all materials to proper specification and revisions
• Following up on material purchased, delivered against PO’s
• Expediting product through internal as well as external processes as needed
• Holding suppliers accountable to promised lead times

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, technical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong oral, written, and communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Systems, Economics, Business Studies, or Industrial Management preferred
• Knowledge of material requirement planning (MRP)
• 2-3 years of systems planning, or business software-based role experience preferred
• Vendor management experience preferred
• Manufacturing plant experience such as general operations, shipping, production, quality, or similar experience preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
