Job Summary
Fork N Film is seeking an innovative and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in creating immersive, movie-themed dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will drive the culinary vision for our film-inspired experiences, lead the kitchen team, and collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless, engaging atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a culture of teamwork, open communication, and creativity.
- Execute themed menus that reflect Fork N Film’s vision, utilizing menu guides, order guides themed by the movie Being presented.
- Ensure all dishes meet Fork N Film’s standards for quality, visual appeal, and flavor.
- Oversee inventory, food ordering, and cost control measures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, encouraging skill development and high performance.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and event managers to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction during each experience.
- Monitor kitchen workflow to optimize productivity and maintain pace with the interactive dining format.
Skills
- Strong background in culinary operations and food service within an experiential or themed dining environment.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management, and shift oversight.
- Excellent culinary expertise with a deep understanding of diverse cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food management principles, including inventory control.
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced setting while delivering detailed, interactive presentations.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with Executive Chef.
- Passion for hospitality, guest engagement, and delivering one-of-a-kind dining experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week
