The objective of this position is to lead and direct the efforts of the company’s inventory management program and communicate necessary adjustments to appropriate personnel. Additionally, this position will be responsible to develop inventory procedures, coordinate inventory counts and assist in processes to enhance inventory accuracy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure invoicing of other partner companies/divisions are appropriately coordinated daily/monthly.
- Monitor inventory at all company production sites including Stewart, New Richmond, and K&S Millwrights in Buffalo Lake, MN.
- Assist day-to-day inventory flow through production, storage, shipping and receiving, establishing location requirements to optimize production efficiencies and inventory accuracy.
- Assist in accurate inventory transfers between locations.
- Monitor process of inventory receipts to ensure product is properly accounted for as stored.
- Oversee proper labeling of warehouse items including ingredients, finished products, packaging and supplies to ensure placement and accuracy.
- Responsible for periodic reconciliation of inventory to match physical and system-based numbers including periodic cycle counts on key items.
- Responsible for inventory adjustments and verification of discrepancies and collaborate with others to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate any significant long/short inventory discrepancy and report to management.
- Responsible to implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Communicate with plant personnel regarding inventory guidance and necessary inventory information to help achieve the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Assist in developing a system to track and organize lot numbers, resolving problems and reporting discrepancies.
- Communicate and assist quality specialists in quality assurance measures and reporting requirements.
- Assist proper operation of inventory equipment for use during the inventory counting process such as barcode readers and other necessary tools.
- Responsible to lead full inventory counts, organizing required staff to assist in the counting process.
- Communicate inventory count/recount data and assist in updating inventory adjustments.
- Maintain a quality work environment by educating and training personnel on established inventory management procedures.
- Additional projects required or directed by the VP of Operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school graduate, 2-4-year degree, or demonstrated experience in inventory management.
- Experience in production and inventory management preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in successful inventory management and control.
- Communication skills with the ability to build relationships in a group and one-on-one settings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory change and process.
- Analytical skills with a strong inventory accuracy mindset
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong team building, decision making and people management skills.
- Analysis of risk management with strong decision-making abilities

Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of inventory or supply chain management experience
- High school graduate with demonstrated experience in inventory management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and spreadsheet functionality
- Outstanding analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, works well in a team environment.
- Mechanical skills desired
- Working knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
