The Retail Allocation Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely allocation of assigned merchandise categories to the individual stores using appropriate sales and inventory information from time of buy through our supply chain. The Merchandise Allocation Analyst leads and coordinates inventory management and allocation strategies to ensure that the right products in the right stores at the right time. Provides inventory reporting and analyzes to support business initiatives to identify
opportunities/risks as well as drive business results for the Merchandising department. This role will partner with the Merchandising leadership team to improve performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify purchase orders eligible for allocation each week.
Identify back stock (Pulls) product and allocate as appropriate each week.
Determine best allocation strategy to use based on product knowledge and interaction with Buyer, Assistant Buyer, and Allocation team.
Use available sales and inventory tools to recommend appropriate allocation.
Responsible for allocating product with multiple Buyers.
Investigate and recommend resolution for DC quantity and timing issues.
Periodically evaluate back stock and pack away for potential allocation.
Produce store level sales and inventory analysis as directed.
Evaluate store performance, and recommend opportunity buys as appropriate.
Assist with special projects as required to meet the needs of the business.

Produce store level sales and inventory analysis as directed.
Evaluate store performance, and recommend opportunity buys as appropriate.
Communicate with stores and corporate office on issues related to inventory discrepancies and/or sales performance.
Assist in preparation of class level Assortment Plans.
Assist with special projects as instructed
