P osition Overview
The Pricing and Rebate Analyst provides leadership in pricing and drives improvement in gross margins Specialist, Product Pricing & Rebate by providing visibility to all components of the value chain. Their primary focus is the customer and supplier rebate programs. The pricing and rebate analyst works cross-functionally to provide guidance and direction on customer and supplier agreements, as well as margin analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Execute and own the customer rebate program, working with sales and management to ensure accruals are accurate and payouts are timely.
- Account for the customer rebate accruals at a high level to finance monthly.
- Analyze sales to optimize gross margin target as a percentage of sales, providing feedback to sales and management.
- Identify gross margin expansion opportunities.
- Execute supplier rebate program for suppliers assigned, certifying that the rebate accrual is accurate.
- Approve and suggest pricing though SFDC program ensuring that the quote is profitable as well as competitive.
- Evaluate costing to ensure that it is correct and process any changes necessary to SAP and sales.
- Partner with suppliers on costing issues and the supplier rebate programs.
- Participate and execute month-end activities.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology to drive continuous improvement efforts in all aspects of the role.
