What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Formica Group North America?
Under direction of the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing various activities within the department to include General ledger reporting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The incumbent will contribute to other areas related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Treasury in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily ledger reporting activities for all regions of the organization including the parent company.
- Prepare, review and post finance journals to LX as needed.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
- Responsible for the postings of credit card, miscellaneous journal entry, intercompany reports, and numerous balance sheet account reviews.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide business support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, IT and Treasury and work closely with these departments to support questions and provide information.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely reporting related to revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
- Maintains a highly organized set of detailed records and files.
- BA/BS degree in accounting or relevant field required
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in systems – BPCS–print reports, accessing data and making changes that impact where information flows in the financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.
- Public Accounting experience preferred.
