Education (Minimal Education Needed)
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical or Instrument Engineering from four-year college.
Previous years of experience in instrument or electrical engineering helpful.
Previous Related Experience Required
Minimum of 2-3 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Instrumentation or electrical field.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE (State the purpose of this job and reason for existence)
To design, develop, and maintain process instrumentation and analyzers, and to lend expertise to assist and support supervisors.
II . MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY (Describe major functions of this job)
Other duties may be assigned
Manage plant engineering and construction activities to provide optimum facilities and equipment at lowest possible cost. Prepare drawings and necessary documentation for projects.
Plan and supervise installation of instrument / analyzer equipment.
Assist in check out and start up on projects.
Keep plant loop diagrams and critical drawings updated.
Provide support to instrument supervisor as needed.
Stands on weekend call duty list as assigned.
Ensure Historical Files are created and maintained to all Instrument / Analyzer equipment.
Assign equipment numbers to AS-400.
Generate Equipment Abnormal Analysis report as required.
Revise PM cycles according to equipment abnormal analysis, PM philosophy change MI Matrix.
Identifying,planning and coordinating training and conduct training as assigned.
Purchase and / or store stock spare parts as needed.
Assist in cost explanations and propose countermeasures to reduce cost.
Fill in for Manager or Supervisor in their absence.
Reviewing T / A work orders, projects and assist in plan for T / A's.
Assist in ordering materials and bid packages for outside services for T / A
Administer and assist with Blanket Order Contracts.
Submit monthly reports including Abnormal Costs, Engineering Projects, Training, etc.
Effectively carry out regulatory and quality requirements, including Mechanical Integrity, ISO, Title V, HON,etc.
