Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I.POSITION OBJECTIVE
This job position exists in order to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources to manufacture the highest quality products in the most efficient and effective manner, reduce costs and increase operating profit. The Operations Staff will assist the Olefins 1 unit to operate within the FPC-TX procedure and expectations regarding PSM, ISO, Environmental, permitting, safety, and THM. To provide leadership and support to the operations personnel on the daily activities for the Olefins Division.
II.MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Manage, Analyze, Integrate, and Administer Solutions to Improve Efficiency: Coordinate with shift supervisors and area operators to handle any conflicts, whether operational or personal, that develops. Coordinate with multiple internal departments and key external contacts/decision makers on various decision-making processes to enhance safe work practices in all aspects of unit operations.
Turnaround and Maintenance Coordination: Identify and issue work orders for Olefins maintenance, repair, and improvement items – both routine and during unit turnarounds. Prepare and update detailed schedules to help ensure all identified activities are completed within the available window. Ensure required materials and labor are available per schedule. Assist in coordination of operations personnel activities. Participate in critiques after turnaround and implement action items as assigned.
Process Troubleshooting: Review all daily logs, supervisory logs, electronic data trends and supporting records to ensure proper operation of critical Olefins process equipment. Collaborate with maintenance unit personnel to identify process equipment abnormal root causes. Assist operations personnel in troubleshooting to correct abnormalities and deficiencies as needed.
Project Management: Perform special projects as assigned by unit section management. Act as PIC and lead a project from concept, through management to successful completion as required.
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through implementation of the Total Housekeeping Maintenance program. Emphasize the Nothing Touches the Ground program and the No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant like new condition.

A.TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA
1.Previous Related Experience Required
Ten (10) plus years in petrochemical operations; seven (7) years of direct supervision experience (step supervisor or others) Preferred.
2.Technical Skills Required To Perform This Job
1.Personal computer skills and applicable software.
2.DCS knowledge
3.Capable of working on miscellaneous office machines (fax, copy, etc.).
4.Basic math and accounting skills
3.Education
High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of ten (10) years of direct job-related experience; Or Bachelor’s degree with six (6) years of direct job-related experience; Or Associates degree with eight (8) years of direct job-related experience
4.Other Certification/Training Required to Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge
