The Farm Manager leads all functions in entire farm operations to produce safe, quality young pullets at their site. The Farm Manager is responsible for understanding, communicating, and implementing company standards. This role is responsible for leading a managing a team of specialists.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for farm production by leading team to safely and efficiently develop flocks to produce safe, quality eggs
- Review production data with team and develop action items to improve farm performance
- Effectively communicate with employees across the organization to collaborate on company goals and standards
- Communicate and lead team on company directed processes and projects
- Train team on company standards, expectations, and regulations
- Lead team as a results-driven manager, continuously recognizing, researching, and implementing process improvement to drive company performance
- Responsible for implementing Forsman Farms culture, policies, and expectations at site level
- Manage day to day projects, efficiently delegating projects and responsibilities among team members
Requirements
- Previous farm experience or ability to learn farm operations
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve goals
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Ability to seek, identify and investigate deficiencies and provide continuous process improvement
- Critical thinker with discretionary decision-making ability to act in best interest of the company
- Effective communicator
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
