JOB DESCRIPTION – Forsyth Country Day School
TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk – Financial Assistant
REPORTS TO: Controller
JOB TYPE: 12 month (year-round) Part-time position (approximately 25 hours a week)
SCHEDULE: Schedule will be a set schedule of either 3 days a week M-W 8am to 4pm or 5 days a week from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (or similar). Schedule is flexible based on needs of the applicant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee the accounts payable process including:
- Process all accounts payable invoices for weekly payment for Forsyth Country Day School.
- Obtain necessary approvals for invoices prior to payment.
- Enter accounts payable into the Blackbaud accounting system.
- Process checks
- Primary contact for vendors and internally for questions and needs regarding the accounts payable process.
- Enter daily miscellaneous cash receipts into accounting system and process accompanying reports.
- Oversee and administer the Truist Enterprise Spend Platform to review and process all credit card charges.
- Other administrative and accounting functions.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Controller.
- Filing.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
At least an associate’s degree in accounting and/or experience with accounts payable or general ledger accounting in a corporate setting strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to utilize oral and written communication skills effectively
- Regularly required to walk, including across uneven ground, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.
- Must be able to operate a computer and have basic knowledge of Google Workspace
