POSITION SUMMARY
Compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications, Licenses or Permits:
- Forklift Certification or ability to obtain.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License required.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or State approved High School Equivalency (HSE) required. Additional education preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years in inventory management, supply chain, and procurement experience preferred.
- Prefer background in any type of inventory database.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions and distractions. Proven ability to work with others in a confidential, cooperative, and service-oriented manner; excellent listening and communication skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- May be required to stand, sit, crouch, crawl, push/pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Facilitate purchases of specialty parts that are not in current inventory.
- Facilitate purchases of all inventory stocked items in main warehouse and replenish as necessary in compliance with the established contracts for inventory parts.
- Periodic usage checks of current inventory items. If an item has not been used in a year, coordinate removal of item(s) with Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate inventory database with updated costs, contracts, etc. Pull reports every six months and correct all discrepancies.
- Facilitate the creation of new stock items after researching current inventory as needed by Maintenance Department.
- Oversee all aspect of bid contracts with FCS Purchasing department. When bids are awarded, review content for accuracy and make changes as needed. When contracts are finalized, give to dispatch to update inventory system.
- Oversee and review audits of main warehouse and truck stock.
- Assist inventory receiving clerk with any questions or concerns. Report to Maintenance Supervisor with any concerns or problems. Maintain inventory area so it is always organized and efficient (i.e., breakdown cardboard, stack pallets, keep inventory stored on floor to a minimum).
- Pick up and deliver to FCS locations all emergency parts to technicians in the field when needed. Back up for all office staff if and when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
