What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapeutic Recreation Camp Counselor II position at Forsyth County?

Ensures that all rules are followed by camp participants.
Oversees, directs and organizes camp participants.
Assists in overseeing the before and aftercare program, including staff and planned activities.
Initiates and directs the transition between camp activities and programsAssist Counselors with providing personal care services to participants as needed
Prepares facilities and equipment for camp activities.
Learns and implements positive behavior-management techniques.
Maintains clear and positive communication with supervisor, co-workers, parents and camp participants.
Attends weekly field trips.
Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating camp activities.
Administers First Aid and reports injuries/accidents/illnesses to Summer Camp Director.
Serves as role model to camp participants and other staff.
Maintains and stores camp equipment and supplies.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
This classification is designated as a safety sensitive position which is subject to random drug and alcohol testing and any other drug testing methods as stated in policies adopted by Forsyth County concerning drug and alcohol.
Reports directly to Camp Director and TR staff
Provides assistance to other employees or departments as needed.
