What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Assistant, Dental Clinic position at Forsyth Technical Community College?
The Front Desk Assistant will be a member of a diverse team that supports the dental program/student achievement and success by providing support through secretarial and clerical services for the Forsyth Tech dental clinic.
Minimum Qualifications
You must possess the following: Standard requirement for all roles:
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, spreadsheets, presentation and collaboration apps and software.
Essential Duties
- Schedule, confirm appointments, return calls for clinic patients, and follow up as necessary.
- General clerical and bookkeeping duties include filing, copying, scanning, accepting payment for services, balancing accounts, preparing deposits.
- Maintain dental clinic patient listings.
- Assist with maintaining electronic and paper records.
- Handle inquiries and requests for information from students and the public.
- Handle program area correspondence as requested.
- Type, reproduce, and distribute documents as necessary.
- Assist with faculty directed requests and needs related to dental program orientation for new or continuing students.
- Assist with preparation for faculty and staff training.
- Assist the dental clinic manager and faculty with checking in supplies and stock rotation.
- Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Keep up to date with current information of the dental department.
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dental clinic manager and program coordinator, dental programs.
