Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attendance Reporting
- Process and maintain student attendance records (daily, each six weeks and each academic grading period)
- Generate attendance records and Average Daily Attendance (ADA) documentation and reports
- Prepare daily attendance lists, noting excused / unexcused status
- Run percentage in attendance (ADA report) daily to compare to District goal.
- Monitor percentage in attendance (ADA report) to ensure attendance is not less than previously reported ADA (for waiver purposes)
- Run reports to monitor teachers / substitutes who do not take attendance per District and State expectation (at snapshot)
- Run various reports to ensure attendance via each academic reporting period is accurate on grade reports to parents
- Ensure that rosters are available for substitutes
- Prepare campus for 1st and 4th six weeks teacher verification and six weeks data verification processes
- Review reports as needed, comparing prior six weeks to current six weeks, and acquiring campus principal signature each six weeks
- Follow the FBISD Attendance Manual's guidelines for daily, weekly, six weeks and semester attendance-taking protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH) for data proficiency and funding
- Generate and maintain attendance data (absence verification) as it relates to Average Daily Attendance (ADA)
- Perform PEIMS-based duties and data entry, as they pertain to attendance-taking protocols
- Verify and monitor teacher web absences to daily

Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
