Job Overview
The Specialist Contracts will assist in the administration of the contract procurement process. This incumbent will organize, prepare and maintain contracts for district-wide consulting agreements and specialized buy assignments including material bid documents, contracts, files, and budget documents.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and prepare contracts
- Communicate with other district personnel and departments, attorneys, insurance representatives, inspectors and others to coordinate activities, exchange information and facilitate purchasing and contract operations
- Perform research to determine legality and applicability of proposed contract terms and recommend proposed revisions to the Assistant Director of Contract Management when necessary
- Prepare and submit contract documents for execution and implementation
- Work with district personnel to develop contracts for project-related services from initial inception to project completion, provide technical advice and assist in solving procurement problems
