SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist the Food & Beverage venue Manager to develop, implement and maintain quality standards for food service, including supervision and direction of service staff during shifts. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will remain on the venue floor throughout the shift and assist as required to ensure smooth operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•During peak hours may assist in seating or serving customers.
•The Food Beverage Supervisor must be proficient in all aspects of full-time and part-time employee management, including assisting with recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, documentation, recommending corrective action for employees and mentoring.
•Maintains a positive restaurant culture.
•Communicates with the Food & Beverage venue Manager on a regular basis.
•Must have the ability to oversee all daily business of venue operations including shift coverage in the absence of Food & Beverage venue Manager.
•Responds to customer inquiries and requests, and resolves customer complaints in a timely, friendly, efficient manner according to departmental guidelines.
•Makes sure departmental policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
•Train and lead employees of Food and Beverage Server/Cashiers.
•Supervise Beverage venues by remaining on the floor at all times.
•Check to make sure customers are enjoying their experience; quick to recognize guest dissatisfaction and attempts to remedy the situation.
•Maintain daily inventory of products and supplies.
•Follows company safety and security policies and procedures. Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions.
•Serves as a replacement for venue Server/Cashier, Bartender, or Host if there is an absence.
•Work closely with other team members to ensure excellent service is provided to all customers.
•Take directions and guidance from Food & Beverage Managers and Directors.
•Takes responsibility to know, understand and comply with established company and departmental policies and procedures.
•Supervises the Stampede Lounge and all beverage related operations within the Casino Hotel including restaurant and banquet alcohol service, along with beverage host service, and offsite beverage services.
•Ensures that all bars and beverage equipment is operated safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to the proper department for repair.
•Enforces the cash handling policy for cash handlers and ensures staff have the proper training.
• Ensure that all lounge staff are ensuring that guests are properly identifying age with ID checks to ensure that the organization is within compliance of state and tribal laws and regulations.
• Have TIPS certification and ensure applicable staff are certified as well in an attempt to limit problems and liability to the Shoshone Bannock Casino Hotel.
•Enforces total compliance with all Alcohol Services policies, Monitors alcohol service throughout event to assure 100% compliance with Alcohol Services policies. Reports any alcohol service or compliance issues to management immediately.
•Performs related duties as assigned.
•Must comply, complete, and maintain all assigned online training programs before due dates.
•MUST MAINTAIN STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY OF ALL INFORMATION PROCESSED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT INCLUDING RECORDS, REPORTS, DOCUMENTS, CONVERSATIONS, ETC. A breach of confidentiality will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination from employment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
(G10/S1-3 DOE)
•High School diploma or GED required;
•Two (2) years or more in restaurant, hospitality or food service or related experience;

•or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
(G11/S1-3 DOE)
•Associate’s degree in Hospitality or similar field required;
•Four (4) years or more in restaurant, hospitality or food service or related experience.
•Two (2) years or more in supervisory/management experience.
•or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises venue staff under their supervision during shift.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud.
