Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health is a 182-bed treatment facility that specializes in quality behavioral health and substance abuse services for youth, adults and seniors. We offer a full continuum of care through an integrated system of inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. The Nurse Educator assists with responsibilities for educational requirements of the staff members at FLBHC. This includes components of General Orientation, Unit Orientation and Nurse Precepting, CPR, Verbal De-Escalation Training, and any other educational needs to be determined by the administrative staff. The Nurse Educator provides clinical supervision and health educational information to staff and patients and works collaboratively with the Charge Nurses and Nursing Administrative Staff members. The Nurse Educator assesses the learning needs of staff, using both subjective and objective feedback and provides/plans in-services geared to meet the learning needs of the staff.

Education
- BSN or equivalent from an accredited program in professional nursing is required. MSN preferred. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility is preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience is preferred.
- Registered Nurse, required.
