QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:
Clean guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness
Set up cleaning carts with supplies, constantly maintaining cart standards.
Wash shower walls and tub, clean toilet(s), wipe exposed pipes, clean mirrors, sink(s), and walls to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
Responsible for cleaning 14-16 rooms per day
Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guests.
Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust.
Strip bed of all linen and remake with fresh, checking bedspread, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness, replacing if soiled.
Check the closet for cleanliness, wipe the closet door, handle, and overhead shelves, and restock the guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets, and pillows.
Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways, lifting/moving heavy furniture to vacuum entire areas of carpet including underneath furniture and hard-to-reach areas.
Ensure all doors and windows are locked.
Alert management to an unsecure or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and associates.
Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order.
Reports all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Housekeeping Supervisor for prompt repair/resolution.
Maintains custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect Resort property.
Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Ability to see, walk, stand, bend, lift, sit, and reach overhead.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Six months to one-year related housekeeping experience required.
Bi-lingual a plus
