POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Gift Shop Lead to oversee daily operations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. A Gift Shop Cashier Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way -Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye! As the Gift Shop Lead will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and providing exceptional service to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Oversee daily operations of the gift shop, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Supervise, train, and support sales associates and cashiers, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
- Assist Gift Shop Supervisor with employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash management and financial reporting.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels, order new merchandise, and coordinate restocking to ensure the shop is always well-stocked and organized.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the store’s appearance and attract customers.
- Assist with regular inventory checks and assist in inventory audits.
- Promote ongoing sales, promotions, and loyalty programs to customers.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
Hear, reach, see, and walk for 67-100% of the workday.
- Eye/hand coordination for 67-100% of the workday.
- Stand for 80-90% of the workday.
- Bend and twist for 1-33% of the workday.
- While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 Years of Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
