JOB DESCRIPTION
SECURITY MANAGER
This is a Full-Time Position
**Starting Salary is $21.00/per hr NO TIPS**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Security Manager is responsible for protecting employees and customers from harm, and for safeguarding
the property of the Tribe, the casino, the employees, and the customers. The Security Manager oversees all
security activities. The Security Manager reports to the General Manager. The duties include, but are not limited
to, the following:
- Hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining Security officers
- Evaluating performance of Security personnel
- Acting as key custodian and accepting ultimate responsibility for sensitive keys.
- Administering lost-and-found
- Maintaining a rapport with Tribal and local law enforcement officials
- Investigating thefts, accidents, insurance claims, possible Compact violations, returned checks, and
- Monitoring alarms
- Ensuring the Security posts are properly manned and that reliefs are provided
- Maintaining required reports
- Maintaining an inventory of all security equipment
- Maintaining a key log and a log of radios issued
- Developing and implementing plans for security
- Performing all duties of Security officers
- Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Security Manager must possess:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
- The ability to pass Basic Alcohol management
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in law enforcement, private security, private investigation
- At least two (2) years' experience in a managerial or supervisory level position
- Knowledge and be familiar with laws and regulations that govern gaming, including the Tribe’s
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass a private background check
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- The ability to pull, bend, squat and lift up to 50 pounds
- The ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- The ability to work in a smoke-filled environment
- The ability to withstand exposure to the summer heat and all other climatic conditions of the local area,
while performing duties on the Casino premises.
