Summary :
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and / or ability. This position involves shift changes for the day, swing, and graveyard coverage. The Emergency Placement Home Support Worker is responsible for supporting an environment of success and safety for Emergency Placement Home residents.
Essential Functions :
- Work with participants enrolled in the FMIT Emergency Placement Home,
- Must be willing to learn practices for family unity and family preservation in Human Services,
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information,
- Must be accurate and precise in maintaining case file documentation such as : progress notes, updates, and any other required documentation,
- Must be non-judgmental and impartial in assessment skills and reports,
- Provide timely submission of progress reports, updates, and weekly reports,
- Must be willing to collaborate with other Tribal Departments to ensure the client is participating in established programs,
- Must be able to drive clients to and from client meetings / appointments and assist with any department transportation requirements,
- Must attend all regular staff meetings and conferences for enrolled clients,
- Must be able to work out of the office, to include client transportation, outreach, and participant progress,
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays for shift coverage or department activities,
- Must be willing to assist client transport to the facility from other non-tribal facilities,
- Responsible for organizing, cleaning, and assisting with upkeep of department supplies and cleaning.
- Responsible for daily cleaning schedule.
- Ability to cook and serve meals and snacks to residents.
- Responsible for helping to maintain the client's nutrition schedule.
- Responsible for supporting extracurricular recreational activities for residents.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
