About Us
Fort Montessori is in Murphy, TX. We have been around for over 14 years. We are family owned and operated. We have no other branches. We are affiliated with Fort Aquatics and Fort Gymnastics. As a combined ground of businesses, we offer childcare, after school care, summer camps, swimming, and gymnastics lessons.
At Fort Montessori we absolutely love the children we care for and consider it a privilege – which is why we cut no corners in whatever we do. From the highly experienced staff, safe and secure environment to the state-of-the-art swim and gym facility, the healthy meal options, yoga, creative art and music – we do all of this with only one thing in mind – we want to provide the best childcare program that is available in the region.
Who will be an ideal After School Teacher?
The After School Teacher at Fort Montessori must be friendly, warm, energetic and cheerful. He/she must love to work with children of all age groups and have a passion to teach. The teacher will work at Fort Montessori during afternoons when children arrive from the elementary school. An ideal teacher is a good communicator and one who provides good care, home work assistance and fun activities to engage elementary school children. During summer months, the teachers will have the opportunity to work in our Summer Camp and get more hours, if he/she wishes to do so.
Responsibilities
· Check children in as they come in via our Procare app
· Welcome and Greet parents as they pick up
· Play and interact with children during activities
· Supervise children all the time – no sitting around
· Know all the children names/roster/Emergency forms/Kit/Child Count
· Know the daily activity/schedule
· Assist in all games and all activities
· Clean up after snacks and activities
· Vacuum as necessary
Role Requirements
· Must be 16 years of age or older
· Prior experience working with children is a plus but not necessary
· Must clear all background checks
· Must have CPR and First Aid Certification
· Must have reliable means of transport
· Must be physically fit and stand for long periods of time
· Must be punctual and consistent to work
Pay and Benefits
$12 - $13 per hour based on experience
