The Girls Soccer Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the soccer program, including player development, team preparation, and fostering a positive environment. The Assistant Coach is responsible for helping to plan and execute practices, providing individual and team instruction, promoting good sportsmanship, and ensuring student-athletes meet academic and behavioral standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Team and Player Development:
- Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing practice plans that focus on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical fitness.
- Provide individual feedback and instruction to help players improve their technical and tactical abilities.
- Support player conditioning and injury prevention efforts in collaboration with trainers.

Game Day Support:
- Assist with game strategy, substitutions, and sideline coaching during competitions.
- Help manage team equipment, warm-ups, and game logistics.

Program Leadership:
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Uphold and enforce team rules, school policies, and Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) regulations.
- Encourage academic success by monitoring players’ progress and offering support as needed.

Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and other stakeholders to align with program goals.
- Work collaboratively with the coaching staff to assess team and individual needs.

Administrative Duties:
- Assist with maintaining accurate records, including attendance, eligibility, and game statistics.
- Support team communication efforts, including distributing schedules and announcements.
- Help coordinate transportation, equipment, and other logistics for practices and games.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in soccer preferred.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to model and teach good sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required background checks and meet CHSAA coaching requirements.
Work Schedule and Commitment:
- Attendance at all practices, games, and team events is required.
- Commitment to some evening and weekend hours.
Salary : $3,750 - $4,500
