POSITION: Head Football Coach
LOCATION: Fort Morgan High School, Fort Morgan, CO
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
JOB TYPE: Seasonal, Stipend Position
POSITION SUMMARY:
Fort Morgan High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Football Coach to lead our football program, develop student-athletes, and foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The coach will be responsible for planning and leading practices, developing game strategies, and mentoring players both on and off the field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership & Development:
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance players' skills, fitness, and understanding of the game.
- Lead team practices, conditioning sessions, and game preparations.
- Develop game strategies, analyze opponents, and make real-time decisions during games.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Monitor academic progress and ensure student-athletes meet eligibility requirements.
- Communicate with school administrators, parents, and the community to promote the football program.
- Oversee assistant coaches and support staff.
- Ensure player safety by following proper training techniques and injury prevention protocols.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and fundraising efforts.
Collaboration & Community Engagement:
- Work closely with the Athletic Director, school administrators, and other coaches to align football with school-wide athletic programs.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, boosters, and the community to enhance program support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- Ability to mentor and inspire young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Adherence to school and district policies, as well as state athletic regulations.
Compensation:
- Stipend position based on district salary schedule.
Salary : $6,500 - $7,800
