Job Summary:
The Program Assistant for Life on the Farm will provide necessary backup assistance and program support to the Agriculture & Natural Resources unit in the Cooperative Extension Program. The Program Assistant will also provide backup support of programming for the Consumer Sciences, Youth and Community Development units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Program Assistant will travel into various counties.
- The Program Assistant will also go into schools and communities across Georgia.
- The Program Assistant will be required to fulfill all pre-scheduled appointments.
- Must be able to request travel arrangements in connection with programming.
- The Program Assistant will also provide care and feeding of program animals.
- Computer skills
- Able to adapt to change
- Good Customer service skills
- Work as part of a team
Qualification:
Required
- High School diploma
- Relevant experience preferably in an educational environment.
Working Conditions:
- Regular schedule is Monday through Friday
- This position is with Cooperative Extension, evenings after 5pm or weekends may be required as requested.
- Extensive travel

- Performs repetitive tasks periodically
- Required to stand or walk (i.e., some Extension Programs, deliveries to other departments) occasionally.
- Lift and /or move 25 pounds.
