Position Summary
Fort Vancouver Regional Library District (FVRL) is seeking a Collection Manager to lead the FVRL Collection Department. FVRL encompasses 4,200 square miles and serves a diverse population of residents of southwest Washington in rural, suburban, and urban settings in Klickitat and Skamania Counties, all of Clark County except for the City of Camas, and the City of Woodland and the Yale Valley Library District in Cowlitz County. FVRL has about 250 employees and supports 13 staffed locations, two partially staffed / self-serve libraries, and two bookmobiles, while also providing books-by-mail services to those living far from established library locations. This position has supervisory duties and manages the collection team's efforts and performance. FVRLibraries is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.

- Creates a customer-driven, collaborative, positive, productive and professional environment that delivers high-quality, effective collections and services that are responsive to the needs of customers and community.
- Oversees and directs department operations to ensure operational efficiency, high-quality service delivery, and excellent customer service.
- Serves as a member of the management team and contributes to strategic, long-range and operational planning, program development and evaluation, resource development, budgeting, staff planning and development, and allocation of resources in support of the Library's mission and goals.
- Directs the development and implementation of departmental priorities, plans, policies and procedures; develops annual and multi-year goals and objectives and monitors and reports progress towards meeting them.
- Evaluates the Library's collection services needs and ensures department services, priorities, and materials align and support the Library's vision, goals, initiatives, projects, and branch service plans.
- Builds collaborative relationships with staff in a highly collegial, interdisciplinary environment based on customer-first initiatives.
- Analyzes system service requirements and recommends changes to improve operational efficiency and / or better serve the needs of the customer.
- Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of personnel and consultant staff, ensures staff compliance with Library and departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
- Stays apprised of contemporary issues, trends and developments in collection and technical services, publishing and public library services; able to predict their relevance and apply to the library.

Schedule & Location
This position will work on-site out of our Operations Center in Vancouver, WA. This is not a hybrid position. The exact schedule will be set with input of the successful candidate. There is flexibility to set a recurring schedule that works 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 am - 6pm.
Compensation & Benefits
This is an exempt position and earns between $75,315.24 and $112,972.86 annually.
We have an excellent benefit package. FVRLibraries covers 90-95% of full-time employees' health insurance premium cost and 90-100% of dental insurance premium costs. In addition we provide employees with Life Insurance, AD&D and Long-Term Disability Insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees have the ability to enroll in additional, voluntary life insurance, income protection plans, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts. Our employees enjoy 13 paid holidays throughout the year (including two personal holidays). Full-time employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave per month. The initial vacation leave accrual is 11 hours per month; this increases over time based on years of employment. We also offer other types of paid time off for situations such as jury duty, bereavement leave, inclement weather and more.
