About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomy Team Lead to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our Patient Service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and leading a team of phlebotomists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of phlebotomists to ensure efficient and effective specimen collection operations
- Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy duties as needed
- Assist in the supervision of new employees and provide ongoing training and coaching
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and policies
- Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels to optimize laboratory operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist, with prior leadership experience a plus
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency a plus
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and leading high-performing teams
